@Observing: It is a vast area, great to get lost in once you are up the valleys and into the bush , quite a few get caught tramping by the rapid rising of the rivers and it pays to tramp with a mountain radio that contacts you in the evening to let you know of weather changes or problems. I noticed you asked about house orientation s down here, we face the homes North, to get the most of the sun , the foul weather comes from the South.

@dj.tigersprout: Thanks DJ, knowing this road quite well i knew it should be good depending on the weather.I didn't realise the borage (blue flowers) on the river bed would be in flower till i got up there, so was really amazed at how much they added to the scene.

@DarkElf: Yes there is a layby that you have to know is coming up or you would miss it and have to travel on miles to turn around and come back to. I always check this spot out, i have seen it in all weathers, but this is the first time i have seen the blue flowers in the riverbed and they really add well to the shot.
