Coast line sweep of bush.

Posted by
Maxine (Christchurch, New Zealand) on 2 March 2009 in Plant & Nature.

Windswept and beautiful, permanent bad hair days! The West Coast gets a lot of rain and wind so is lush and tortured.Note the patch of gorse in the foreground. Gorse creates a sheltered habitat for young native seedlings and as you can see the ferns are just starting to break out of cover.

It could be a Rockery in close-up. Lovely place to be, I'll bet; wind and all. It's a lovely shot.
